Catch the Spirit of the Olympic Games with Westcoast Air – We'll be open for business and ready for you

Celebrate the magic of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics with Westcoast Air. We welcome visitors from all over the world to discover the adventure of travelling by floatplane. Whether it is on a scheduled flight, the splendour of a scenic tour or a private charter to your chosen destination, the spectacular views of Vancouver and coastal BC will take your breath away. This promises to be a very exciting time for both residents and visitors attending the games, and we are ready to serve you.

For the duration of both the Olympics and the Paralympics Winter Games, a few operational changes will be necessary between Jan 29 and Mar 3, 2010 to facilitate added security measures.

Passenger screening, provided by CATSA, will be in effect when departing from downtown Vancouver, Richmond YVR, Victoria and Nanaimo and as such, customers will be required to check in 1 hour prior to flight departure time. Due to the lack of a security screening unit in Sechelt, we are required to temporarily suspend our non stop service to Richmond between January 29 and March 3, 2010. We apologize for this inconvenience however, customers can continue to reach Richmond via Nanaimo at a through fare of $109.00 plus tax each way.

When travelling to our Vancouver locations we suggest that you allow yourself ample time as there will be traffic diversions throughout the city and downtown Vancouver core. This includes closures to both Waterfront Road and Canada Place Way. The recommended location for passenger drop offs will be at Cordova and Thurlow, which is also designated as a taxi loading zone.

The Westcoast Air shuttle will continue to provide complimentary drop off service to the downtown core during the games. However, as a result of the road closures, parking will not be available at Easy Park or the Shaw Tower. For alternatives, we ask that you consult with our customer service agents at 1-800-347-2222. They will gladly provide you with a number of options.
