Route Changes
Effective May 19, West Coast Air will no longer operate service between Victoria and Richmond. As this route has seen low customer demand, resources will be focused in other markets. West Coast Air's Vancouver Coastal Flight on for the Olympics
In a move to promote the beauty of coastal British Columbia, West Coast Air has applied for and received approval to operate its Vancouver Coastal Flight. Visitors from around the world can now enjoy this uniquely Vancouver experience during the Olympics. West Coast Air, one of BC's locally owned and operated float plane company, is offering a memorable forty minute tour from January 29th, 2010 to March 29th 2010. Tour highlights include Point Atkinson Lighthouse, Bowen Island, and the Straights of Georgia. "We are very pleased to offer another example of a tourist attraction rivalling the Streetcars of San Francisco and the Star Ferries of Hong Kong. West Coast Air Issues Challenge to BC Businesses
Pacific Carbon Trust certifies company as carbon neutral
West Coast Air today issued a challenge to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in BC, to take comprehensive action to reduce their carbon emissions. At an event at its Vancouver harbour terminal, management and crew celebrated West Coast Air achieving carbon neutrality for its entire operations, including all flights. The event also marked the official launch of a new carbon neutral designation from Pacific Carbon Trust, and included participation by BC Minister of State for Climate Action, John Yap. [more]
